Coca Cola Bread with Walnuts

In a large bowl, add the wheat flour, the salt, the sugar, the dry yeast powder, the condensed milk, the melted butter, the egg, the Coca Cola and mix.When you can no longer mix with the spoon, start kneading with your hands until the ingredients combine and transfer the dough to a table.Knead for another 5 minutes or until the dough is smooth and uniform.Then, wrap the dough in plastic wrap, take it to the fridge and let it rest for 30 minutes.Now, on the sheet of parchment paper, add the butter cut into pieces.Fold the paper over the butter, cover everything with another piece of paper and flip it over.Now, using a rolling pin, stretch out the butter until it turns into a single layer, smooth and not too thick.Take it to the fridge and let it chill for 20 minutes.After this time has passed and the dough has cooled, roll it out until not too thin nor too thick.Add the butter we prepared earlier and fold the dough over the butter.Stretch it out again with the rolling pin, fold it and wrap it in plastic wrap.Place in the fridge and let it chill for another 20 minutes.After this time has passed, stretch out the dough with the rolling pin once more, fold it again and wrap it in plastic wrap.Take it to the fridge and let it chill for another 30 minutes.After this time has passed, roll out the dough into a rectangular shape, making sure it's not too thick nor too thin.Then, divide the dough in half and cut it into triangles, then set aside.In a small bowl, add the condensed milk, the walnuts chopped into small pieces and mix.Place this mixture over the triangular pieces of dough and spread it.In a round baking pan lined with parchment paper, add the sanitized can of soda with the top cut off, right in its center.Place the pieces of dough around it and fill the can with the water.Take to a preheated oven at 180° C (350° F) and bake for 35 minutes.Serve.

  • 1 Egg
  • 300ml of Coca-Cola
  • Sheet of Parchment Paper
  • 250g of Unsalted Butter
  • 200g of Condensed Milk
  • 100g of Walnuts
  • 1 Sanitized Soda Can (300ml)
  • 200ml of Water
