Syrup
Into a bowl, add the warm water and the sugar, mix well until dissolved.
Add the dry yeast powder and mix until it dissolves.
Gradually add the oil, the salt, and the wheat flour. Mix it all together well while adding the flour.
Once that's done, leave the dough in the bowl and cover it with plastic wrap, let it rest for 20 minutes or until it doubles in size.
After this indicated time, grab a chuck of dough, and round it well. I’ve split the dough into 6 equal-sized pieces, make sure to round all pieces by hand.
Once you’ve done that, transfer these dough balls to a baking tray greased with a drizzle of oil, placing them next to each other.
Cover the baking tray with a tablecloth and let dough rise for another 20 minutes.
After this indicated time, bake in a preheated oven at 180°C (356°F) for about 35 minutes. Baking time may vary depending on the power of your oven.
Make the syrup with water and sugar and brush it over the baked bread.
Help yourself.

I love making this bread. I mix it a bit, using a combo of white, whole wheat, and corn masa flours. It's always delicious!
