Into a bowl, add the eggs and the sugar, mix very well until combined. If you prefer, you can use an electric mixer.
Add the oil and the squeezed lime juice, mix well again.
Add the cornstarch and mix well again.
Then add the water and the wheat flour, mix it all together again until combined.
Finally, add the salt and the baking powder, mix gently.
Transfer the batter to a ring cake mold greased with some butter or margarine and wheat flour. I’m using a 20-cm diameter cake mold.
Take it to a preheated oven at 200°C (392°F) and let it bake for about 35 minutes. Baking time may vary depending on the power of your oven.
To unmold, run a knife along the edges and center of the mold.
