Into a bowl, add the butter, the sugar, the egg and mix it all together very well until combined. To make it easier, leave the butter at room temperature.
Sift the wheat flour together with the salt and the baking powder, sift all ingredients together.
Mix very well, add the vanilla essence and the chocolate chips.
Mix again.
Get a piece of dough with a spoon and round it by hand into a little ball.
Place the dough balls in a baking tin, you don't have to grease it.
If you want, add some more chocolate chips all over the balls.
Bake in a preheated oven at 200°C (392°F) for 15 to 25 minutes.
