Fried Stuffed Onions

Start by placing an onion without the core over a piece of dough.Then, cut the dough into strips and wrap each strip around the onion.Repeat this process with 2 more onions and set aside.Now, let’s make the dough we used in this recipe.In a large bowl, add the butter, the wheat flour, the salt, the turmeric, the thyme and mix.Gradually add the water and mix again until it becomes a smooth and even dough.Place the onions we prepared into a large pot over medium heat filled with hot vegetable oil and fry them until golden brown.Remove them from the hot oil and drain the excess oil on a plate lined with paper towels.Stuff each one with 1 teaspoon of corn, 1 teaspoon of peas, 1 teaspoon of diced tomato and 1 teaspoon of heavy cream.Add the grated Parmesan, hot sauce, honey, and parsley, all to taste.Serve.

  • 3 Red Onions

Dough

  • 4 Tablespoons of Unsalted Butter
  • 2 Cups of Wheat Flour
  • 1 Teaspoon of Salt
  • 1 Pinch of Turmeric
  • 1 Teaspoon of Thyme
  • 120ml of Water
  • Vegetable Oil

For Stuffing 

  • 3 Teaspoons of Corn
  • 3 Teaspoons of Peas
  • 3 Teaspoons of Diced Tomatoes
  • 3 Teaspoons of Heavy Cream
  • Grated Parmesan Cheese, to Taste
  • Honey, to Taste
  • Parsley, to Taste
