Into a large pot over medium to low heat, add the vegetable oil and let it heat up.
Add the potato and let it fry for 7 minutes.
After this time has passed, remove it from the heat and drain the excess oil on a plate lined with paper towels.
Next, cut the potato in half and remove all the skin.
In a medium bowl add some ice cubes, the peeled potato, cover with water and mix until the potato cools down.
