Syrup
Into a bowl, start by adding the eggs and the sugar, mix well until combined.
After that, add the oil, the orange zest and the orange juice. Mix it all together very well again until combined.
Add the wheat flour and mix well until combined.
Add the baking powder and mix well.
Grease a 22cm ring cake tin with butter and flour and pour all the batter we’ve made in it.
Bake in a preheated oven at 200°C (392°F) for about 30 minutes. Baking time may vary depending on the power of your oven.
To make the syrup, put the orange juice and the sugar in a pitcher, mix well and microwave for 2 minutes.
When the cake is ready, poke some holes all over it and pour all the syrup we’ve made, while still hot.
Once you've done that, run a knife around the edges and center of the cake, set aside for 20 minutes.
Unmold and serve.
