Fluffy Corn Starch Sponge Cake

In a bowl, place the eggs, the sugar and with a mixer, beat it all together very well for 3 to 4 minutes.Add the butter or margarine and beat again until smooth and combined.Add the corn starch, the wheat flour, the milk and the vanilla essence, mix lightly with a spatula to prevent the flour from splashing everywhere when we turn the mixer back on. Beat again until combined. Add the baking powder and mix lightly with the spatula until combined.Transfer all this batter to a ring cake mold greased with butter and flour, bake in a preheated oven at 200°C (392°F) for 40 minutes.Wait for it to cool down a bit and unmold.Serve.

  • 4 Eggs
  • 1 Cup (240ml) of Sugar
  • 3 Tablespoons of Butter or Margarine
  • 2 Cups (240ml) of Corn Starch 
  • 1 Cup (240ml) of Wheat Flour
  • 1 ½ Cups (240ml) of Milk
  • 1 Level Teaspoon of Vanilla Essence
  • 1 Tablespoon of Baking Powder

Wait for it to cool down a bit and unmold.
