Start by cutting the very large onions into 16 equal parts without separating them.
In a large jar, add the ice cubes, the water, the onions we cut earlier, another 500ml of water, a few more ice cubes and let them soak for 10 minutes.
In the meantime, in a medium bowl, add the eggs, the milk, the wheat flour and mix everything very well until combined.
Season with the salt, the black pepper, the sweet paprika, the chili flakes, the chimichurri, the garlic powder and mix to combine.
Once the soaking time for the onions is over, add them to this bowl and coat them well in the mixture.
Next, add the onions to the bowl with the flour and coat them.
In a large pan over medium to low heat, add the vegetable oil and let it heat up.
Add the onions we prepared and fry until golden brown.
Serve.
