Get the guava paste and sprinkle wheat flour all over it, then slice it into strips, sprinkle some more flour all over these strips and cut the strips into even squares. Set aside.
Into a bowl, add the eggs and the sugar, beat them very well until combined, for about 5 minutes. Add the milk and the oil, beat it all very well again.
Add the wheat flour and the cornmeal, beat again until combined.
Finally, add the baking powder and mix gently.
Transfer this batter to a cake mold greased with some butter and wheat flour. I'm using a 22cm diameter mold.
Add the guava paste squares we’ve set aside, evenly spreading them all over the batter.
Take to a preheated oven at 200 °C (392°F) and bake it for about 35 min.
Serve.
