Cod au Gratin

In a saucepan, add the cod, previously desalted and cut into pieces.Add enough water to cover these pieces and let them cook for 5 minutes.After this indicated time, remove the cod from the saucepan and set aside.Now, in the same boiling water we cooked the cod, add the potatoes chopped into round slices and let them cook for about 10 minutes.Next,shred all the cod, making sure to also remove the bones and the skin.Now, in a saucepan, add 1 drizzle of olive oil, the crushed garlic cloves, the onion chopped into small cubes, the green bell pepper chopped into small cubes, stir-fry very well.Add the sliced olives, the tomato chopped into small cubes, season with the black pepper and the paprika. Also add the tomato sauce and stir all the ingredients very well.Add all the shredded cod and stir.Add the table cream and the parsley to taste, stir.In a medium ovenproof dish, add enough olive oil to cover its bottom and spread it out evenly.Make a layer with the cooked potatoes.Cover them with all the cod and spread it out until flat.Add the grated mozzarella cheese and olives to taste.Take to a preheated oven at 200°C (392°F) and bake for 25 minutes.Serve.

  • 600g of Desalted Codfish 
  • 1 kg of Potatoes 
  • 3 Garlic Cloves 
  • 1 Onion 
  • ½ Green Bell Pepper 
  • 50g of Pitted Olives, Sliced 
  • 1 Tomato 
  • 1 Pinch of Black Pepper 
  • ½ Teaspoon of Sweet Paprika 
  • ½ Sachet of Tomato Sauce 
  • 2 Packs of Table Cream (200g Each) 
  • Parsley to Taste 
  • 150g of Mozzarella Cheese 
  • Olives to Taste
