In a large bowl, start by adding the warm milk, the salt, the dry yeast powder and mix with a whisk until the yeast dissolves.
Add the sifted wheat flour, the sugar and mix everything very well.
When you can no longer mix with the spoon, start kneading with your hands.
Add the melted unsalted butter and keep kneading into a smooth and soft dough.
Cover the bowl and let the dough rise for 30 minutes.
After this time has passed, transfer the dough to a table, divide it into 10 equal parts and shape each of them into a ball.
Get one of these dough balls and stretch it out until not too thick nor too thin.
Add 1 tablespoon of dulce de leche and close the dough, shaping it into a dumpling.
Repeat this process with all the dough, and let these dumplings rise for 20 minutes.
After this time has passed, in a skillet filled with hot water, add the baking soda.
Add the dumplings we prepared and let them cook for just 30 seconds.
Next, transfer them to a large baking tray and make superficial slits on them with a knife.
Take to a preheated oven at 180° C (350° F) and bake for 20 minutes.
If you like, you can finish by brushing melted unsalted butter all over them.
Serve.
