Bread Balls with Sugar Syrup

Start by adding the milk to the slices of crustless bread shaped into squares and mash everything very well until it forms a smooth, well-combined dough.Then take a bit of this dough and roll it into a small ball.Repeat this process with all the dough and set aside.In a large skillet over medium to low heat, add the sugar, the water and stir everything very well until the sugar dissolves.Then let it simmer for 10 minutes and set it aside.Now, in a large skillet over medium to low heat, add the unsalted butter, the vegetable oil and stir until the butter has completely melted.Add the small balls we prepared and fry them until golden brown.Remove them from the skillet and drain the excess oil on a plate lined with paper towels.Next, transfer the fried balls to a medium bowl.Add the sugar syrup we prepared.Cover and let them soak for 10 minutes.If you want your fried balls to have a stronger flavor, let them soak longer.Serve.

  • 100ml of Milk
  • 8 Slices of Crusted Bread
  • 1 Cup of Sugar (240ml)
  • 750ml of Water
  • 200g of Unsalted Butter
  • 200ml of Vegetable Oil
