Puff Pastry Sticks with Sesame Seeds

In a bowl, start by putting the warm milk, the sugar and the dry yeast, mix very well for 1 minute, add the oil or olive oil, mix lightly, add the wheat flour gradually and the salt, always mixing. When you can no longer mix with the spatula, use your hands and mix until it forms a smooth and uniform dough.Put the dough back in the bowl, cover with a cloth and let it rest for 1 hour.After the indicated time, sprinkle some flour on a table and place the dough on it. Flatten the dough by hand into a circular shape.Get a plate and brush some milk all over it, then sprinkle a good amount of sesame seeds on it.Spread some milk all over the dough and transfer this dough to the plate, with the milk side facing down.Brush some milk over the dough and sprinkle lots of sesame seeds too.Sprinkle some sesame seeds on the table and place the dough on it. If the dough is too sticky, sprinkle some more wheat flour all over it.Stretch the dough with a rolling pin into a square shape, leaving it approximately 0.5 cm thick.Slice the dough in half then into strips.Fry the strips in hot oil, about 150°C to 170°C.Place on a plate with paper towels and serve.

  • Sesame Seeds to Taste
