In a pan, add the refined sugar and brown it over medium heat. Once browned, add the butter and stir until melted. Add the condensed milk and the roasted peanuts, mix well. Add the cup of refined sugar and mix it all together over medium heat. Stir until it starts to come off the bottom of the pan, add the baking powder and stir a bit more, for about 3 minutes.
Grease a baking tin with butter, pour in the peanut mixture and shape it into a rectangle, to make it easier to slice.
To slice, spread some sugar on a knife and cut the candy into squares. Finally, coat them in sugar.
