In a medium bowl, add the beans.
Add enough water to cover them, squeeze in half a lime, mix and let them soak for 20 minutes.
In a large saucepan, add a drizzle of oil, the crushed garlic cloves and let them fry until slightly golden brown.
Add the beans we left soaking, the tomato, the peeled potato, the onion and the bay leaves.
Next, add enough hot water to cover everything, put the lid on and let it all cook for 50 minutes.
After this time has passed, remove the potato, the tomato and the onion.
Transfer these ingredients to a tall container and using a hand blender, beat very well until it reaches a creamy consistency.
After that, transfer this creamy mixture to the saucepan with the beans and mix.
Add the orange juice, the salt and mix.
Serve.
