Start by sticking the toothpicks into all the chicken drumsticks.
Place these drumsticks in a large saucepan filled with boiling water over medium heat and let them cook for 10 minutes.
Remove them from the water, remove all the toothpicks and the skin from the chicken.
Transfer them to a large bowl, season with the salt, the smoked paprika, a pinch of black pepper, the soy sauce, the honey, the instant coffee, the crushed garlic cloves, a drizzle of olive oil and mix everything together very well.
Next, evenly coat all the chicken drumsticks in Panko or breadcrumbs.
In a large pan over medium to low heat filled with hot vegetable oil, fry the chicken drumsticks until golden brown.
Remove them from the hot oil and soak up the excess fat on a plate lined with paper towels.
Serve with some sauce of your choice.
