Brazilian Peanut Candy

Into a skillet, add the sugar and stir until melted.After that, add the unsalted butter or margarine and stir again until melted.Add the packs of condensed milk and keep mixing until it thickens and turns into a sauce.Then add the roasted peanuts and keep stirring for another 5 minutes.After this indicated time, turn off the heat and set aside.Now, brush some butter all over a baking tray, greasing it well.Line the bottom of the baking tray with nonstick paper or parchment paper.If you’ll be using parchment paper, grease the top of the paper with butter as well.Pour all the candy into this baking tray.Cover with plastic wrap or with a plastic bag touching the candy and let it cool until it reaches room temperature.Once the candy has cooled, unmold onto a cutting board and remove the parchment paper.Next, sprinkle some refined sugar over the candy and slice it.Finally, coat these pieces of candy in refined sugarServe.

Ingredientes

  • 1 Cup of Sugar (200ml Cup)
  • 1 Tablespoon of Unsalted Butter or Margarine 
  • 2 Packs of Condensed Milk (395g Each)
  • 500g of Peeled and Unsalted Roasted Peanuts
  • Refined Sugar

Modo de Fazer

Into a skillet, add the sugar and stir until melted. 

After that, add the unsalted butter or margarine and stir again until melted. 

Add the packs of condensed milk and keep mixing until it thickens and turns into a sauce. 

Then add the roasted peanuts and keep stirring for another 5 minutes. 

After this indicated time, turn off the heat and set aside. 

Now, brush some butter all over a baking tray, greasing it well. 

Line the bottom of the baking tray with nonstick paper or parchment paper. 

If you’ll be using parchment paper, grease the top of the paper with butter as well.

Pour all the candy into this baking tray.

Cover with plastic wrap or with a plastic bag touching the candy and let it cool until it reaches room temperature. 

Once the candy has cooled, unmold onto a cutting board and remove the parchment paper. 

Next, sprinkle some refined sugar over the candy and slice it. 

Finally, coat these pieces of candy in refined sugar 

Serve.
