Brazilian Chicken Stuffed Croquettes

Cut off the crusts of the bread slices and set aside.Into a bowl, add the milk, salt and mixed spices, mix very well.Quickly dip both sides of each bread slice in this mixture and squeeze well to remove excess milk.Add the chicken stuffing at the center of the bread, don't add too much so it won't be hard to close.Hold the snack with one hand and shape it with the other, pressing down on it to seal well. If you can't shape it into a tear-drop, you can shape into a ball instead.Put the breadcrumbs in a bowl and coat the snack in it. Shape it again, now coated in breadcrumbs, then coat in breadcrumbs once again.To make the chicken stuffing, into a saucepan add the onion and let it sauté until golden brown, add the paprika and mix well, add water and mix, add another teaspoon of paprika, add the shredded chicken boiled in chicken broth, and finally add salt to taste. Mix it all together very well, turn off the heat and add parsley to taste.To fry it, add some oil in a pan and if you want to know if the oil is hot enough, add a toothpick in the pan. If bubbles form around it, it's on frying point.Fry the snacks. Keep an eye on them, because they fry very quickly.Serve.

  • 1 Bag of Sliced Bread
  • 300ml of Milk
  • ½ Teaspoon of Salt
  • ½ Teaspoon of Mixed Spices
  • 500g of Chicken for Stuffing

Optional Stuffing

  • 500g Shredded Cooked Chicken
  • 2 Tablespoons of Oil or Olive Oil
  • ½ Chopped Onion or to Taste
  • 2 Teaspoons of Paprika
  • 100ml of Water
  • ½ Tablespoon of Salt or to Taste
  • Parsley to Taste

For Breading

  • Breadcrumbs
