Banana Upside Down Cake

Start by adding the refined sugar into a skillet and let it melt, gently mix until it forms a caramel sauce.Gradually add water until it turns into a smooth sauce then transfer it to a baking tray, evenly spreading it all over the bottom. Set aside.Into a bowl, add the eggs and the sugar, mix well until combined. Add the oil, mix and add the wheat flour. Mix until combined.Add the baking powder and gently mix it, add the chocolate chips, and mix for the last time. Set aside.Now, into the baking tray with the caramel, add the bananas cut in half, spreading them out.Pour the batter and spread it out evenly.Take baking tray to a preheated oven at 180°C (356°F) for about 50 minutes.Unmold and serve.

Ingredientes

  • 3 Eggs
  • 1 ½ Cups of Sugar
  • 200ml of Oil 
  • 1 Cup of Milk
  • 1 ½ Cups of Wheat Flour
  • 1 Tablespoon of Baking Powder 
  • 3/4 Cup of Chocolate Chips
  • 4 Bananas

Caramel Sauce

  • ½ Cup of Water
  • 1 Cup of Refined Sugar (240ml)

Gradually add water until it turns into a smooth sauce then transfer it to a baking tray, evenly spreading it all over the bottom. Set aside. 

Into a bowl, add the eggs and the sugar, mix well until combined. Add the oil, mix and add the wheat flour. Mix until combined. 

Add the baking powder and gently mix it, add the chocolate chips, and mix for the last time. Set aside. 

Now, into the baking tray with the caramel, add the bananas cut in half, spreading them out. 

Pour the batter and spread it out evenly. 

Take baking tray to a preheated oven at 180°C (356°F) for about 50 minutes.

Unmold and serve.
