
Start by placing the caramel candies inside the cored apples.
Place each apple on top of a puff pastry disc and pour 30ml of milk in each one.
Cut the pastry into strips and wrap the pastry around the apples.
Repeat this process with all the apples.
Then transfer them to a baking tray.
Brush the beaten egg over all the pastries.
Place in a preheated oven at one 180° C (350° F) and bake for 30 minutes.
In a large skillet over medium to low heat, add the butter and stir until completely melted.
Add the apple cores we used in the recipe, the demerara sugar, the ground cinnamon and stir until the sugar has completely melted.
Then add the walnuts chopped into smaller pieces and stir to incorporate.
Once the apples are baked, place this mixture we just prepared on top of them and add one scoop of vanilla ice cream.
Finish with caramel sauce to taste.
Serve.
