Start by placing the hot dog sausages into the blender, add the egg, the black pepper and the onion powder, blend everything thoroughly until it becomes a smooth, well-mixed paste.
Now, transfer everything to a medium-sized bowl, lightly grease your hands with some vegetable oil, take a portion of the mixture and gently shape it into a burger patty.
Repeat this process until all the mixture is used up.
In a large skillet over medium to low heat, add a drizzle of vegetable oil and spread it evenly using a brush or paper towel.
Once the oil is hot, place the shaped burger patties into the skillet, let them fry until nicely browned on one side, then flip and brown the other side as well.
Once you’ve done that, place a slice of cheddar cheese on top of each patty, cover the skillet and let the cheese melt completely.
Remove the burger patties from the skillet and set them aside.
Now, slice the buns in half, place them cut side down, and toast them until golden brown.
To assemble the burgers, on the bottom half of each bun, spread mayonnaise to taste.
Then add ketchup and the hot dog patty with the melted cheese.
Add the slices of tomato, lettuce leaves to taste and finish by adding the other half of the bun.
Serve with your favorite sauce.
