Beef Steaks with Baking Powder

Start by cutting the thick beef steaks in half.Next, sprinkle baking powder over each steak, flip them and repeat this process on the other side.Transfer all these steaks to a medium bowl, add the juice of one orange and let them rest for 10 minutes.After this time has passed, transfer them back to the cutting board.Season them on both sides with the crushed garlic cloves, one pinch of salt, one pinch of black pepper and one pinch of nutmeg.Once you’ve done that, in a large skillet over medium to low heat, add one drizzle of olive oil and let it heat up.And once this oil is hot enough, add the steaks, fry them until golden brown on both sides and remove them from the skillet.In the same skillet, add one medium onion chopped into small cubes, the crushed garlic cloves and stir them until slightly golden brown.When that happens, add the steaks we prepared earlier, the vegetable broth, one pinch of chili flakes, the bay leaves and stir everything very well.Cover the skillet and simmer for 10 minutes, always flipping the steaks to make sure both sides are nicely cooked.Finish with parsley to taste.Serve.

  • 4 Garlic Cloves 
  • 300ml of Vegetable Broth 
  • 1 Pinch of Chili Flakes 
  • 2 Bay Leaves 
  • Parsley to Taste
