Traditional Chicken Pie

Into a pan, add some olive oil, add the onion and sauté until slightly cooked. Add the garlic and sauté for another minute.Add the paprika and the tomato, mix it all together. Cover the pan and let the tomato dry, it will take about 2 to 3 minutes. Add water, oregano and salt, mix well.Add the chicken and the soft cheese, mix it all together and turn off the heat. Set aside.Batter:Into a blender, add the eggs, the milk, the oil, the grated cheese, blend well. Add the wheat flour, the corn starch, blend it all together. Use a spoon to help you mix this batter.Finally, add the baking powder and mix.Grease an oven-safe baking dish with butter and flour, pour in half of the batter, spread evenly, then add all the chicken filling. Cover this filling with the rest of the batter, spread well and sprinkle some oregano.Bake in a preheated oven at 200°C (392°F) for 40 to 60 minutes, serve.

  • 1kg of Shredded Chicken Breast
  • 1 Medium Onion, Chopped
  • 3 Garlic Cloves, Chopped
  • 1 ½ Tablespoons of Olive Oil or Oil
  • Spices to Taste
  • 1 Coffee Spoon of Salt
  • 2 Tomatoes
  • ½ Cup of Water
  • 200g of Soft Cheese
  • Oregano (Optional)
  • Paprika (Optional)

Batter

  • 3 Eggs

  • ½ Cup of Corn Starch
  • 2 Cups of Wheat Flour
  • ½ Packet of Grated Parmesan Cheese (25g)
  • 1 Coffee Spoon of Salt
  • 1 Level Tablespoon of Baking Powder
