
Start by piercing the hot dog sausage with a straw.
Next, insert the strips of mozzarella cheese into the holes.
In a large skillet over medium to low heat, add the unsalted butter and stir until melted.
Add the wheat flour and stir until it turns into a lumpy mixture.
Then gradually add the milk always stirring until it becomes a smooth and even cream.
Add the grated Parmesan cheese and stir until the cheese has completely melted.
Season with the salt, the black pepper, the nutmeg and stir again until combined.
To assemble the recipe, grease a large baking dish with the unsalted butter.
Line the bottom with the slices of crustless bread, add the tomato purée and spread it evenly.
Add half of the white sauce and spread it.
Next, add the sausages we prepared and top them with the grated mozzarella cheese.
Then make another layer with eight more slices of bread, add the tomato puree and spread it.
Add the other half of the white sauce and finish by covering everything with the grated mozzarella cheese.
Take to a preheated oven at 180° C (350° F) and bake for 30 minutes.
Serve.
