Start by cutting the red onions into smaller pieces and grind them well into a mixture.
Into a bowl, add the wheat flour, add the onion mixture, the salt, the baking soda and the eggs, mix it all together very well until combined.
Start mixing all by hand into a consistent dough.
Sprinkle wheat flour on the table and place dough on it, split dough into two pieces.
Stretch one of these pieces with a rolling pin, making sure dough is not too thick nor too thin
Now with a dough cutter or knife, cut off the sides, leaving the dough straight and cut it into about 3 finger-thick strips. Cut the strips into smaller pieces.
Into a skillet, add vegetable oil to fry these dough strips.
Fry them for about 3 minutes or until golden.
Remove them from the skillet and transfer to a bowl, season with a generous pinch of salt and parmesan to taste, mix well.
Serve with the dip of your choice.
