Meat and Potato Croquettes

Into a pan over medium heat, add 1 tablespoon of oil and the chopped onion.Sauté this onion very well, until slightly golden brown.Add the garlic and sauté very well until slightly golden brown.Add the ground beef, the black pepper, 1 very full teaspoon of salt, and cook it all very well until the meat starts to release some juices. When that happens, let it cook until the juices fully dry up.Once you've boiled the potatoes, transfer them to a large bowl, mash them with a potato masher or fork, make sure to mash them well.Then check if the meat is already dry. Turn off the heat, add parsley and chives to taste, mix it all together very well.Transfer all this meat to the bowl with the mashed potatoes. Add the breadcrumbs and mix it all together very well until a smooth mixture is formed.Get a piece of this mixture and let's start shaping it. There are 2 ways to shape it:1st Way: You can get a piece of the mixture and roll it by hand into a ball.2nd Way: You can shape the mixture into a croquette, as shown in the picture above.Once you've shaped the whole mixture, fry in hot oil.Enjoy it!

  • 500g of Potatoes Boiled with 1 Teaspoon of Salt
  • 1 Tablespoon of Oil
  • ½ Chopped Small Onion 
  • 2 Crushed Garlic Cloves 
  • 1 Pinch of Black Pepper
  • 1 Very Full Teaspoon of Salt
  • Parsley and Chives to Taste
  • 1 Cup (200ml) of Breadcrumbs
  • Oil for Frying
