Fried Cheesy Beef Croquettes

In a bowl, add the ground beef, the egg, the breadcrumbs, the grated parmesan cheese, the crushed garlic cloves, chopped parsley to taste, the salt and the nutmeg, mix all the ingredients together very well until combined.Place all this beef mixture on a sheet of nonstick baking paper, then cover it with another sheet of nonstick baking paper and using a rolling pin, stretch it out until not too thick nor too thin.Next, using a round dough cutter or a small bowl, cut the beef mixture into patties and remove the excess, just like shown in the video.Top each patty with one teaspoon of tomato sauce and three cubes of mozzarella cheese then fold each patty over the filling, sealing it well.Once you’ve done that, in a large skillet over medium-low heat, fry the beef croquettes in hot oil until both sides are golden brown.Remove them from the oil and soak up the excess fat on a plate lined with paper towels.Now, in another skillet, add one drizzle of oil and the whole garlic cloves, fry them until golden brown and remove them from the skillet. Pour the tomato sauce into the skillet and stir for 1 minute.Add the fried beef croquettes in the sauce and let them cook for 1 minute on each side.Finish with chopped parsley to taste.Serve.

  • 350g of Ground Beef
  • 1 Egg

  • 1 Pinch of Nutmeg
  • Tomato Sauce
  • Cubes of Mozzarella Cheese

  • 2 Garlic Cloves
  • 200g of Tomato Sauce
