Easy Fried Potato Sticks

Start by cutting the potatoes into smaller pieces.Transfer them to a large saucepan, add enough water to cover everything and add the salt.Turn on the heat to maximum power and let them cook for 15 minutes.After this time has passed, drain all the water, transfer them to a large bowl and mash them very well until smooth.Add parsley to taste, the grated mozzarella, the garlic powder, the sweet paprika and mix until incorporated.Next, add the cornstarch, the salt and mix again until combined.Now, sprinkle some starch on a countertop and place the dough on it.Stretch it out with a rolling pin until not too thin nor too thick.Then, trim the edges leaving the dough in a rectangular shape, cut it in half then into thin strips and set aside.Repeat this process with all the dough.In a large skillet over medium to low heat, add enough vegetable oil to cover the bottom and let it heat up.When this oil is hot, add the potato sticks we have prepared earlier and fry them until golden.Remove them from the hot oil and soak up the excess fat on a plate lined with paper towels.Serve with a dip of your choice.

  • 1 Teaspoon of Sweet Paprika 
  • 5 Tablespoons of Cornstarch 
  • 1 Teaspoon of Salt 
  • Vegetable Oil
