Brazilian Beignets

Into a bowl, add the dry yeast powder, the sugar, the egg and the milk, mix it all together very well until combined.Add half of the wheat flour, mix well, add the other half and mix again until combined. When you can no longer mix with the spoon, remove the dough from the bowl and transfer to the table.Before that, sprinkle some flour on the table. Then place the dough and knead for about 10 minutes.Shape the dough into a ball and put it back in the bowl, add a drizzle of oil to prevent it from getting dry. Cover with plastic wrap or dish cloth and let it rest for 40 minutes to 1 hour.Once it has double in size, press the dough with your hand to remove all the air bubbles. Remove it from the bowl and put it back on the table sprinkled with flour.Sprinkle some flour over the dough and spread it out, stretch the dough with a rolling pin until it's not too thin and not too thick.Cut the dough into squares.Fry in oil over medium heat.Drain the excess oil very well with paper towels.Finally, coat them in sugar.Serve.

  • 1 Egg
  • 200ml of Warm Milk
  • 2 ½ Cups (240ml Cup) of Wheat Flour
  • Sugar and Cinnamon Powder to Taste
  • Oil for Frying

Fry in oil over medium heat.

Finally, coat them in sugar.

Serve.
