Tang Orange Cake

Into a bowl, add the butter or margarine, that's up to you, add the eggs and the sugar, mix very well until it all combines and reaches the right consistency - a light-colored smooth mixture.In another bowl, mix the flour with the Tang juice powder then sift this flour into the mixture in the first bowl, gradually add the milk, always mixing very well. Add the rest of the milk and keep mixing until a smooth batter is formed again.Add the baking powder and mix lightly.Grease a ring cake pan with flour and butter, transfer the batter to this pan, gently give it a few taps to remove all the air bubbles and to make it flat. Bake in a preheated oven at 200°C (356°F) for 45 to 60 minutes. Do the toothpick test.Sift the icing sugar into a bowl, add the water and the orange juice, mix well.Run the knife around the edges of the pan to help unmold.Pour the syrup over the cake and add orange zest to taste.Serve.

Ingredientes

  • 2 Very Full Tablespoons of Butter or Margarine
  • 3 Eggs
  • 1 ½ Cups (200ml Cup) of Sugar
  • 3 Cups (200ml Cup) of Wheat Flour
  • 1 Packet of Orange Flavored Tang Juice Powder
  • 1½ Cups (200ml Cup) of Milk
  • 1 Tablespoon of Baking Powder

Syrup

  • 1 Cup (200ml Cup) of Icing Sugar
  • 2 Tablespoons of Orange Juice 
  • 2 Tablespoons of Water

In another bowl, mix the flour with the Tang juice powder then sift this flour into the mixture in the first bowl, gradually add the milk, always mixing very well. Add the rest of the milk and keep mixing until a smooth batter is formed again. 

Add the baking powder and mix lightly.

Grease a ring cake pan with flour and butter, transfer the batter to this pan, gently give it a few taps to remove all the air bubbles and to make it flat.
