Sweet Bread Stuffed with Guava Jam

Into a bowl, start by adding the milk, the sugar and the dry yeast powder. Mix well until combined.Add the oil and the egg white of one egg – set the yolk aside. Mix it all together very well and gradually add the salt and the wheat flour.When you can no longer mix with the spoon, use your hands to mix until it turns into a smooth and uniform dough.Add the butter and mix again until combined.Put the dough into a bowl, cover it with plastic wrap or close it with a lid and let it rest for 1 hour or until it doubles in size.When that happens, transfer the dough to a table and cut it into 10 equal-sized pieces.After that, round these pieces by hand into balls. Then get each ball and press down on them with your fingers to make a small hole.Use scissors to make some cuts around the edges of the dough.Repeat this process with the rest of the dough balls.Transfer these buns to a baking sheet lined with non-stick paper or parchment paper. If you prefer, you can grease it with butter and flour.Now, add the guava jam to the center of each bun, dividing it evenly.Finally, brush the yolk we’ve set aside around the dough edges.Then bake in a preheated oven at 180°C (356°F) for 30 to 40 minutes.Serve.

  • 40ml of Oil
  • 1 Egg
  • 3 Cups of Wheat Flour
  • 1 Teaspoon of Salt
  • ½ Tablespoon of Butter
  • 200g of Guava Jam
